I feel like a lot of my issues can be attributed to the lack of self-awareness. I have never felt more aware of what I’m doing and why. And it isn’t just being aware of my own actions. For example, I’ve always struggled with my weight. I’ve never felt like I was in control of my eating habits and didn’t really eat very often. It was more of an attitude issue.
Self-awareness is the ability to see and acknowledge what you want or need to do, without having to think about it. It means you can say, “I want to exercise more and eat healthier.” or “I want to get to the gym earlier every day.” or “I want to eat healthily.” It means you are aware of what you want to do and make a conscious decision to do it.

That’s because if you are not aware of your choices, and are unconsciously following your impulses, then you are making choices without really thinking about them.
