voxy is the latest one-man-band project from the self-styled “king of the world music” voxy88. Along with his bandmate and self-declared “king of the world”, voxy88 has his own “music blog” which can be found at www.voxy88.com.
voxy88 has been around for several years doing a number of things which have made him a bit of a phenomenon in the music world. The most prominent of these was a collaboration with the band Blooze called “The Blooze Chronicles.” The two have toured together to over 50 festivals and met in the studio. The collaboration came about after voxy88 and Blooze met in person at a recording studio and became fast friends.
voxy88 has been in the music business his whole life, so it’s no surprise that he always seems to be working on something. His main focus right now is a remix project with the band Bouncing Souls. The two have started working on the song “Tornado” and are in the process of recording it in a studio. The other project he seems to be working on is his own solo track.
The two are also friends with many of the artists on the band Bouncing Souls. This is a good thing because this can lead to collaborations. One of my favorite recent collaborations with Blooze was when we recorded a cover of one of her songs for the new album. We ended up working with a friend of Blooze’s, and we recorded a cover of her song called Stormy. We ended up leaving the recording studio to do a jam session at the venue.
The song is called Stormy because it’s got that same vibe. It is also one of the more upbeat tracks on the album, and it has all the elements that I love: a jaunty guitar riff, the bass line that’s just a little bit more aggressive, and a guitar-driven drum beat. The chorus is the most important part of the song because it’s the thing that drives this song.
We thought we were going to be playing music for the first time, but this is something that Bloozes really did her first time out. She was nervous and shy before, but she had a good time. We were really proud of her.
Blozes is always one of the most expressive female vocalists I have ever heard, and this time around she gets to show us how that feels. She even sings the beginning of the song with a very cool piano riff, and it’s a pretty cool chorus. I hope Blozes sticks around for the rest of the album as she’s still developing some pretty big potential.
